C4000 Software Update Subscriptions

Bogen’s Nyquist team is continually and rapidly innovating new features, appliances, and security enhancements to the C4000 solution. As such, a three (3) year subscription to all applicable software updates, including new feature releases, is included with the purchase of every Nyquist C4000 system. Bogen also offers customers additional three (3) year extended Software Update Subscription (“SUS”) plans to keep the Nyquist software up to date, while providing valuable new features and functions to end users.

Bug Fixes. These help to ensure that your system is operating at peak performance 24/7 – especially during emergencies.
New Device Support. Allows users to deploy the newest Nyquist appliances to further expand their system’s functionality.
Important Security Updates. Maintaining system security is important – especially in a networked environment, where staying on top of security updates helps prevent hacking, viruses, and malware.
Avoid Lapsed Coverage (“Catch-up”) Fees. Eliminates unwanted costs stemming from expired subscriptions when updating your system becomes imperative due to evolving business needs.

C4000 System Software Update Subscriptions

All Nyquist C4000 software licenses are perpetual and do not expire (i.e., no annual license renewal fees). For three years after a customer’s initial purchase of a Nyquist C4000 system, Bogen will provide a Software Update Subscription (the “SUS”) for covered products free of charge. The SUS includes all new feature releases, maintenance releases, bug fixes, critical updates, and documentation updates. Please note that any hardware that may be associated with a new feature and is not currently owned by the customer will need to be purchased separately.

There is an option to purchase additional three-year extended SUS coverage plans to allow customers to keep their C4000 system up-to-date with the latest features, functionality and critical security updates after the initial three year period has expired. The extended SUS plan is available upon initial purchase of the Nyquist C4000 system or may be purchased separately at a later date at the customer’s option. When purchased in conjunction with a new system, extended software update subscription coverage commences upon the expiration of the initial free three-year subscription term. If SUS coverage is allowed to expire, additional lapsed coverage surcharges may apply in order to reinstate coverage.

All software updates are delivered by electronic download from the Bogen.com website resources section (http://www.bogen.com/c4000-resources/) and customers are responsible for downloading and installing any/all desired software updates while their SUS coverage is in effect.

NOTE: If a customer chooses not to purchase a subscription for software updates or otherwise allows their SUS coverage to lapse, the customer remains entitled to receive critical updates and full access to technical support by phone for their licensed software.

Software Subscription Licenses (SUS) covers all software licenses in your C4000 System.
